Thinktank
Thinktank is Birmingham's award winning new science museum and the main visitor attraction at Millennium Point. It takes visitors on a journey of discovery from the past, through the present and into the future.
Science and technology have shaped the way we live and are continuing to do so. Thinktank's ten themed galleries and its digital Planetarium - opened in 2005 - offer visitors a unique and fascinating hands-on day out. Historic artefacts and machines - including the world’s oldest working steam engine - are brought to life, the science involved in our daily lives is explained and the latest developments in medicine, genetics, robotics and space exploration are explored.
Thinktank also boasts a huge hall for major touring exhibitions, a 180-seat Theatre, a fully equipped education suite, café, shop and a corporate events suite.
Thinktank is open 7 days a week from 10.00am to 5.00pm (last entry at 4.00pm). The box office and main entrance is on Level 2.
