Join us as we get to know Millennium Point's Digital Communications & Marketing Assistant a little better...

Tell me what you do on a day-to-day basis?

I plan and generate content for Millennium Point’s website, blog and social media, which is used to promote Millennium Point, its spaces, events held here and the successes of the organisation on a local level.

I also work on other ad-hoc creative projects such as generating content for the digital signage around the premises, internal communications, and documenting and photographing our events to showcase what we can achieve in our spaces on social media and our blog.

What do you love about your job?

I love having the ability to have fun with the content I create. It’s great to work alongside external organisations that hold their events with us to cross promote them and see them come to life.

Describe Millennium Point in three words.

Significant, contemporary and impressive.

Favourite place to grab a bite to eat in the city?

Côte at the Mailbox – their calamari is to die for.

What is your greatest achievement/what are you most proud of?

Helping to document and promote Birmingham Made Me – a five-day design expo, which celebrates the design-led manufacturing capabilities and achievements originating in the Midlands. Millennium Point has played a key role as a partner for the third year running. I also assisted with overseeing the creation of a brand new Millennium Point and generated the content that is updated regularly.

Most inspiring place you’ve ever visited?

The Sahara Desert at 3am during a meteor shower.

Favourite hobby?

Travelling and exploring places and attractions both in the UK and abroad. Oh, and ASOS shopping.

What’s your favourite invention?

It sounds cliché, but it has to be my mobile phone. That, or my Bluetooth speakers - they go hand in hand.

Favourite social media platform and why?

Instagram – because the people I follow are more dispensable. That and the lack of external content shared to my feed via other users.

Name one thing you want to accomplish in 2016.

I’d love to explore a number of places in the UK that I’ve never actually got round to visiting. I’d also like to start taking advantage of different eateries and bars that we have right on our doorstep in Birmingham City Centre.
