Each week we will be introducing a member of the team at Millennium Point with a set of interview questions. Sit back and learn about what makes us tick, starting with our new CEO, Judith Armstrong...

What does your typical day look like?

It is very variable! Typically, though, I get in quite early, head for the coffee and then answer any urgent emails. My day is then usually pretty busy with meetings either with the Board, the Team or Tenants. My role is primarily about leadership and engagement, so talking and listening take up most of my time.

Describe Millennium Point in 3 words

Big. Public. Landmark.

Where’s your favourite place to spend time with family and friends in Birmingham?

I enjoy having breakfast with my family at a quaint café or restaurant. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day.

What is your greatest achievement/what are you most proud of?

My greatest achievement is completing my high school qualifications in a foreign language but I am most proud of my 2 beautiful children. Career-wise, becoming an FD of a division of a large corporate at 29 is something I’m very pleased with.

What do you love about your job?

That’s easy, the individuals that I work with! They are some of the most talented, creative and fun people that I have ever worked with.

If you had to choose one country to visit in 2015, where would you go and why?

I would love to visit Thailand to experience the culture and enjoy the amazing food.

Who is your role model?

I’m not sure I share the same political interests but one of my role models is Karren Brady. You have to admire any woman being an MD of such a male dominated industry at a young age. I admire her attitude to work, life and motherhood. She’s one of the few senior female leaders who are actually honest about ‘having it all’. Sometimes you just can’t and that’s ok.

Favourite Hobby?

If I’m being honest, it would be shopping - I am a shopaholic! But I also massively enjoy music, I listen to a wide range and also play the piano (sadly, I don’t own one to practice on).

What are you most looking forward to this year?

Driving the business forward, continuing to establish Millennium Point as a true destination within the city and making as many memories as possible with my children.
