As part of Supersonic Music Festival, Millennium Point will host Descent, a sound sculpture by artist duo Morton Underwood, which will resonate with the surface materials of the building itself. Several woodpeckers will be mounted on surfaces within Millennium Point’s Atrium. When activated by visitors, they will chime on the space’s metal and glass surfaces.

Since the inception of Supersonic Festival in 2003, Capsule have firmly established the event as a unique,  inner-city festival, with an undeniably vibrant atmosphere, always presenting a variety of performers where the film programme, workshops and exhibitions are as paramount to the event’s atmosphere as the live performances. Year in, year out, Capsule unite discerning music fans, embracing eclectic tastes.

Descent will be exhibited at Millennium Point during the weekend of Supersonic, 30 – 31 May, until 14 June. More information on the festival programme is available here.
