In June 2015, a collaboration between Millennium Point, Thinktank and Birmingham Museums Trust and Capsule saw the creation of the All Ears exhibition.

As part of Millennium Point Trust’s Arts and Science Strategy and using rarely-seen pieces from Birmingham Museums Trust’s collection of early developments in musical technology for inspiration; sound and sculpture collaborative group – Owl Project – were commissioned to produce new pieces of work and were exhibited alongside Paul Gittens’ ‘Oak Apple Orchestra’ and Morton Underwood’s ‘Listening Device’.

In addition to the exhibition which allowed visitors to explore the new work and the original Victorian music boxes and table-top organs, a series of events were programmed around All Ears to coincide with Supersonic Festival – including workshops and performances.

All Ears used all aspects of the building Atrium and the Level 2 Pop-Up Space - engaging with many visitors and welcoming new ones too.

All Ears was funded by Arts Council England.
