Executive Team Judith Armstrong Millennium Point CEO CIMA qualified, Judith Armstrong is a commercially driven businesswoman, with over 20 years of experience within finance and international logistics in notable organisations like TNT and DHL. Judith is an acclaimed business leader for her proactive engagement in Birmingham’s business community, earning her a spot as one of the ‘most influential’ leaders by Birmingham Post Power 250 in 2017. Judith is a frequent speaker at events, championing women in leadership and regularly challenging businesses to invest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) initiatives, which address the widening skills gap within the region. She has also published articles on this subject in Birmingham’s Economic Review. In March 2018, Judith welcomed HRH Prince Harry and Miss Meghan Markle on International Women’s Day for Millennium Point’s event, which promoted STEM as a career to local schoolgirls. In addition to her work, Judith is Vice-Chair of charity LoveBrum and Chair of Eastside Forum a platform for public, private and not-for-profit organisations sharing best practice, joint working initiatives and supporting the growth and development of the region. Judith is the distinguished CEO of Millennium Point - the award-winning landmark building in Birmingham’s Knowledge Quarter known for its diverse event spaces, creative working, learning environments and private offices with flexible working suites. The organisations commercial operations enable its charitable trust to support access to STEM which has awarded £4m to projects and initiatives supporting STEM. @J_Armstrong_A Vanessa Currie Head of People, Learning & Development Vanessa is Head of People, Learning and Development and leads on the delivery of our people management strategies which support Millennium Point’s overall business aims and objectives. She has over 20 years’ HR experience including roles at Asda Stores Limited, West Mercia Constabulary and Mettis Aerospace. Vanessa has also spent time working as a freelance consultant providing advice and insights to a wide range of clients and organisations. Her key areas of interest include linking the strategic aims of Millennium Point to the People agenda and ensuring all team members are equipped to realise their full potential. Abbie Vlahakis Finance Director Abbie leads the Finance team for Millennium Point ensuring best practices across both the property company and charitable trust. Abbie brings to Millennium Point over 15 years of experience, combining her knowledge of both tax and financial planning to deliver a truly holistic service to the organisation. Abi was previously senior tax manager at KPMG in Birmingham having started her career as a manager with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. She graduated from The University of Aberystwyth with an MBA. In addition to her role, Abbie also champions the objectives of the Millennium Point Trust, speaking at various events to encourage business engagement and young people to pursue STEM careers. Rebecca Delmore Commercial Director Rebecca leads Millennium Point's Marketing & Events team maximising the organisation's commercial streams and ensuring the organisation's key elements are effectively communicated; in order to drive revenue for both the business and allowing greater investment in STEM initiatives on behalf of the Millennium Point Trust. Rebecca has a wealth of commercial experience, previously being director of group sales for 5Ways Hospitality which included the opening of Park Regis Birmingham, and prior to that head of sales at Worcester Warriors at Sixways Stadium.
