Millennium Point is located in the Eastside district of Birmingham's City Centre at the heart of the Knowledge Quarter.

It is home to Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum, faculties of Birmingham City University and Birmingham Metropolitan College.  In addition to this, Millennium Point hosts a variety of diverse events throughout the year exploring arts, science, technology and design.

General Information

Opening Times

Millennium Point is a public building accessible between 07:00 am – 23:00 pm 7 days a week, except 25 December.

The opening times of organisations based within the building may differ. Please check with them directly by following the links above.

The Management Offices for Millennium Point Property Limited and Millennium Point Trust are located on level 4 and there is reception desk on the ground floor.

Access

All public areas of Millennium Point are fully accessible for wheelchair users. 

There are lifts located in the centre of the building which provide access to all four floors. Disabled toilet facilities are provided on each level of the building.

Free parking is available for Blue Badge holders in the Millennium Point multi-storey car park, which offers direct level access to the building. (Note – the car park is owned and managed by Birmingham City Council). If you have any difficulties, our security staff within the building will be happy to offer guidance.

How To Get Here



Walking/ Cycling

Millennium Point is approximately a ten-minute walk from the main commercial and retail city centre.  Around Millennium Point are cycle stands.

Rail

The nearest train stations are Moor Street Station and New Street Station.  Millennium Point is also within walking distance of Snow Hill Station.

Bus

From the City Centre to the Millennium Point entrance on Jennens Road, catch numbers 14 (stop BS7), 55/55A 90 or 94 (stop BS9).

Car

There is a multi-storey car park owned and managed by Birmingham City Council situated adjacent to Millennium Point. Click here to find out how to contact the Council regarding any out of hours enquiries.

The car park can be accessed via Jennens Road and Millennium Point is clearly signposted from all main routes into the city – simply follow the brown tourist signs.

The nearest motorways are the M6, M5 and M42.

The multi-storey car park has a height restriction of 2.1m (6’10”).

Please note – Birmingham City Council multi-storey car park accepts cash or card payments. An HSBC cash point is situated on Level 0 within Millennium Point.
