One-Day Blues Jam

One day, four incredible bands!

About this event

Get ready as Millennium Point hosts a one-day mini festival, a part of the 41st Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival. Tickets are free, and you can enjoy four fantastic performances that will transport you to New Orleans, Chicago and the Mississippi Delta.

Honeyboy Hickling Blues Band will start the day with their rocking post-war Chicago blues. Following them, Tipitina will bring the authentic spirit of New Orleans with their rhythm & blues and rhumba boogie. Then, prepare for raw, Juke Joint blues as Chickenbone John and Harmonica Dave take to the stage with Cigar Box Guitar and Mississippi Saxophone – which is what old Bluesmen called the harmonica. Closing the night is Slide Boy Roy, a rockin’ blues and roots band known for their electrifying live shows across the UK!
